Freezing breakfast

We're a family of three, and whenever we make a batch of waffles or pancakes, we always have some left over. Instead of composting them or keeping them in the fridge to get soggy and never eaten, we freeze them for later! We wrap two or three in tin foil, label them, and then pop them in the freezer. Then we can eat them another morning when we're in the mood for something sweet - voila, quick breakfast! You can toss the whole foil package in the oven, or if you're short on time, pop them in the toaster or microwave (unwrap first!). This is also a great fix for those days when I've forgotten to buy bread and I'm craving carbs!

Freezing breakfast - it's a simple thing, but it works for me!

Even with large families, there's often a leftover waffle or two. This tip works for us as well. (I don't even bother wrapping in foil, just stick them in a ziploc freezer bag.)

Great idea!! I think this would work well in our house for that stray pancake or two that no one eats at breakfast.

We do this too. Only I freeze them on a flat tray first and then just throw them in a freezer bag. That way I can grab however many we need out and throw them in the toaster. My daughter is such a waffle lover that we make big batches on the weekend and freeze them for quick breakfasts during the week.

I always freeze waffles, too!

I set aside mornings to make waffles, pancakes, and muffins to freeze for breakfasts! You just can't beat it.
I came over here by way of Helene's blog. Nice to meet you!

This is such a great idea! I can't tell you how many times my kids want french toast on a school day and I never have time to make it. But on a Sat or Sun I'll make it for them...I should make a few extra and toss them in the freezer so there's some during the week if they want it!

We do this all the time! Make waffles and freeze! Perfect for when you want something quick in the morning (and good with strawberries and whipped cream)
